Belmont Heritage LLC ("Belmont Heritage," "we," "us," "our") is a licensed life insurance agency based in Miami, Florida. We help individuals, families, and business owners evaluate and implement whole life insurance and Infinite Banking strategies.

This policy explains what information we collect through belmontheritage.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

What we collect

Information you give us directly

When you request our free guide: first name, last name, email address.
When you use our contact form: first name, last name, email address, and anything you choose to write in your message.
When you book a call: name, email address, phone number, and any answers you provide in the booking form. Our scheduling is handled by Acuity Scheduling, a Squarespace company.
If you become a client: during the application and policy design process we collect substantially more sensitive information, including financial, health, and identifying information. That process is governed by a separate privacy notice we provide to you directly, and by the privacy practices of the insurance carrier you apply to.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting platform (Squarespace) automatically records standard technical data: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and time spent. This is used for security and to understand general site traffic.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies, which are small files stored by your browser. Squarespace sets cookies that are necessary for the site to function (page loading, form security, fraud prevention) and cookies that measure aggregate traffic.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and move through our site: which pages are read, how long people stay, and which sources send traffic. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and receives your IP address and browsing activity on this site. It helps us understand our audience in aggregate; we do not use it to identify you personally.

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data entirely by installing Google's official opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent forms and booking from working.

We do not currently use advertising or retargeting pixels. If that changes, we will update this policy before turning them on.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade, or share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Email: what you are signing up for

If you download the guide, you are opting in to receive the guide plus a short series of follow-up emails containing case studies and educational material, and occasional emails after that.

Every email includes an unsubscribe link. One click, no questions, effective immediately. You can also reply to any email or write to alex@belmontheritage.com and we will remove you.

Unsubscribing from marketing email does not stop transactional messages, such as booking confirmations or replies to something you asked us.

Our emails are sent through Squarespace Email Campaigns, which stores your name and email address on our behalf and records whether you opened an email or clicked a link in it. We use that to understand which material is useful, not to build a profile of you.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who need it to do a job for us, and only for that job:

Squarespace provides website hosting, forms, and Email Campaigns. It receives everything you submit through the site, and your name and email for our mailing list.
Acuity Scheduling (a Squarespace company) handles call booking and reminders. It receives your name, email, phone number, and booking answers.
Google Analytics measures aggregate website traffic. It receives your IP address, pages viewed, and device and browser data.
Insurance carriers receive your application information, but only if you apply for a policy, and only with your knowledge.

We may also disclose information where required by law, by subpoena, by insurance regulators, or where necessary to protect our legal rights.

If Belmont Heritage is ever sold or merged, your information may transfer as part of that transaction. We would notify you first.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become clients: up to 3 years from your last contact with us, then deleted.
Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we do not accidentally email you again.
Clients: for the period required by Florida insurance regulation and our carriers' record-retention requirements, which generally extends for years beyond the end of a policy.

Security

We use platforms that encrypt data in transit (HTTPS) and restrict access to your information to people at Belmont Heritage who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take it seriously, particularly given the sensitivity of what our clients share with us.

Your choices

You may ask us to:

Tell you what personal information we hold about you
Correct anything inaccurate
Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it
Stop sending you marketing email
Stop processing your information

Write to alex@belmontheritage.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory rights. We honour verified requests regardless of whether a specific law requires us to.

Third-party links

Our site links to insurance carriers and other outside websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies before giving them information.

Changes

We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date. Material changes affecting how we use information you have already given us will be communicated by email where we have your address.

A note on client information

This policy covers the website. It is not the privacy notice that Florida insurance agencies are required to deliver to clients regarding nonpublic personal financial and health information. If you become a client, you will receive that separate notice directly from us and from the carrier you apply to.
